This is very true, you'll struggle a lot to learn more complex things later on.

well cunt, i dont need to learn shit. im not making any more webpages. its a required course and what i plan to do with my life has nothing to do with being able to write html/css code. so thanks for nothing.

Well it's a funny thing - having been an accountant for about 30 years now and having started hand-writing books I can answer that: "Because it teaches you the flow."

That's it -- if you can't manage to do it by hand, having a 'puter do it doesn't mean you understand squat. Just because those who actually WORK in the field don't do it that way, doesn't mean that students shouldn't.

I know plenty of accounting students who can't add, do math in their head (useful for estimating and reality checks) or spot differences. Just because the 'puter keeps stuff balanced doesn't make it right.

I'll trust a mechanic who knows WHY he's doing something with my car over one who just learned in a book that's how to do "whatever".....wouldn't you?

And tables do have their uses, but agree - CSS control is better.
