Just a question...an E92's Cold Weather Package includes a ski bag? That sounds exactly like the E93's Cold Weather Package (I haven't seen the rear seat/trunk area of an E92 long enough to look at it.) - V .

So my question is......did the Service Manager or SA apologize and did you speak with the GM of the dealership about all the bad ass information the service department gave you?..................Phil

No kidding. Imagine if it there was a fault with a major component: Amri215: "There's a bunch of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe." Dealer: "Your M3 didn't have the optional Smokeless Package." Amri215: "And it's losing power." Dealer: "Your M3 doesn't have power below 6,000 rpms." Amri215: "I contacted a dozen M3 enthusiasts...they say there's something wrong with my engine." Dealer: "Oh, nevermind. We found that one of your pistons is cracked in half. It should be fine now." - V .

It was another dealership who fixed it. I sent an e-mail to the SA of the dealer who misdiagnosed it and cc'd the service manager and the general manager. Pending a response. My guess is they will do nothing for me. But if and when I get the dealer survey from BMW NA..they will get my ratings..zeros across the board.

Yeah after just talking to them, I already knew it wasn't worth it and that I'd be more at risk than anything else. Such a pity too. There are so many BMWs area that area that they forget M3's are quite different and have different requirements. |

Such a shame. Difeo USED to be a great dealership . I used to take my E46 M3 there all the time. Had the bearing recall done there and it was flawless. Too bad they have gone so far downhill.
