Hey There Kl2DC. Hit your CA up for the exhaust tips,, Mine is throwing in them and the Floor mats at no charge, says he does it for all his 325 cutomers.. He is off on Thurs so I couldnt contact him to see if he had an idea when mine will arrive yet.. Hoping for early next week. Stopping by the Dealership was tough today.. seeing several sitting there and wishing one was mine..Only mods im contemplating at the moment are the carbon fiber chin pieces and the rear spoiler.. its really starting to grow on me..

Nice to see everyone still checking in... There's still life left in this good ol'thread ...

Carguy1965: I am not sure if he'll throw in the chrome tips for free , he's already given me a great deal (i.e. $500 over invoice without fuss) so I won't push it too much. All he mentioned were the key chains and all-weather mats. Will probably ask for tire valve covers and some merchandise...

But he promised any OEM parts/accessories and installation (labor) at a hefty discount. For e.g. I'm getting the OEM alarm for $425 (just about right from what posters tell me).

The exhaust tips that I want to get are the 330 one (left exhaust trim x 2) ... it is slightly more but its a longer trim than the 325 tips, so they'll look better.

Still looking our for pictures from all the shipmates ... can't wait to take this thead to another level

Don't forget to ask your CAs to pull the in-transit damage report from the DCS...it might be a good thing to keep/record.

Thats not a bad deal for sure.. I think Im about 650 over invoice, but it was by far the best deal we were offered by all the dealers in the area.. The tips we are getting are the ones from the 352 accesory catolog.. For sure will tint the widows as well. And the obligitory ball caps.. I guess I should list my spesc as well.. almost forgot, Gotta have the wheel spacers.. They just complete the stance....

Carguy1965: Ahhh wheel spacers...so you're with shipmate Fletcher.

*gasp* your specs...that is exactly what my order sheet would've look like (minus the step plus sat radio) if I didn't have my wife mixing things up...very sporty looking I still have the BYO print out from the website

The funny thing is that after the car went into production, the wife finally conceded to considering an e90 in manual (the step option negated the ZSP option in keeping within the budget set and since we ordered the slushbox, figured the wood trim and conservative color was more befitting). But she promised for the next Bimmer I am free to have it my way so...

Congratulations !! I think mystic blue and the barrique red are the 2 most underated color in the e90 pallette. Looking forward to your picture and shipmate mandrimac's...

You might want to recheck on the following : 18-30-7-549-558
Qty 2 ... (left 330 exhaust tips) instead of the 325 exhaust tips, e90post-ers argued that they fit and look better...just putting it out there for you

Oh yeah....one of those mods I'm considering. Only problem is, IL mandates NO tint for the windshield (except for 6" of sun shielding at the top), NO tint on the front windows, and ANY tint for the rest of the windows. Not sure the two tone look would suit me, but my ex-girlfriend purchased a G35 a couple of years ago, and put 35% tinting all the way around (sans windshield), and she's never been pulled over. Might consider that.

Hmmm...the tags you used continue to show the images you tagged in the "printable" format for the thread, whereas mine just show that images were attached, with no reference to them otherwise. I'll possibly experiment with tags and attachments...

If you don't mind the drive out to wilmette, i think it would be really cool to get some pics of the cars together with the ba'hai temple in the background. Otherwise, we could meet halfway at a parking lot; our new bimmers are plenty of scenery on their own!
Wow, you're fully loaded! Congrats! I didn't get the ZPP, because there were only a couple of smaller items included in it that I would even consider...homelink being one of them. The rest...didn't really care one way or the other, but that's why they make optional packages!

Yeah, sure...I can head towards Wilmette, and we can setup some pics with various scenes in the background, including the temple...perhaps even capture Lake Michigan nearby. Mind if I bring my girlfriend along? She'd make a great addition to my pics. All I ask is that we wait only long enough for my spacers to arrive...a week or so after I take delivery. Cool with you?

I saw in another thread where one loses an auxillary power outlet when the sunglass holder replaces the ashtray. Is this correct, and if so, what other power adapter outlets does the E90 have?

I already have my Zaino waiting for delivery day. I'm going to clay it, then Zaino it. I've always been what other call "anal" when it comes to keeping my cars clean and waxed, but this board provided me with "updated" information with regards to better care and products. I've always been a "wax" kind of guy, but only because I never really made any attempt to discover better methods of treating one's exterior. Anyway, I can't wait to put my first treatment on my new baby!

Fletcher: Good to see you still up and about on this thread at odd hours

There is the plug point in the center console as well as the glovebox (the only one that stays hot even after ignition-off). There is a $5 accessory adapter for the glovebox plug point (I don't have the part number) that'll allow you to have up to 2 devices plugged in ...

I had actually tried to push for options euro option code 520 factory badge delete and euro option code 441 delete option (smoker's package delete) with my CA, but he maintained it couldn't be done easily so... the 441 factory delete option would've replaced that useless ashtray with an extra lined storage nook complete with a power point

Sounds like you guys got a good deal. I didn't do too bad with $750 over, so I won't complain. Might allow me to get some extra freebies, though I haven't yet discussed them with my CA...soon though...maybe the day of delivery? I'll be looking for floormats, valve stem caps, lock nut set (will they work with the long lugs that come with the spacers?), and maybe an electronic tire gauge or something like that. Hmm...maybe a trunk drawer and a halogen map light too!

Carguy...you're right in my opinion....the spacers absolutely complete the rear profile of the E90! Much beefier, and aggressive looking with it. Curious though....are you keeping the stock 162's, and if so, what thickness of spacer have you decided upon? I'm leaning towards 15mm, but might go with 12m. Just haven't quite decided yet.

Fletch!

Fletcher: The trunk drawer is a real PITA to install...based on the installation guide/instructions I saw somewhere...I had thought about it at one point.

I am definitely going with the following odds and ends from the catalogue: cargo organizer part no.82 110 152 596 (for food to go), anti-slip mat part no. 82 129 413 180 and coat hanger part no. 51 160009 546

Well...I would have been online earlier, but as Murphy will dictate, when something can go wrong, it will...particularly where car's that know they're being traded in are concerned. Nothing major, but every since I discussed the trade in with my current vehicle, she's been bitter and cold towards me, and exacts revenge every chance she gets. Tonight she blew out some plastic piece near the water pump, and spewed most of the coolant onto the engine and ground. I was about 10 miles from home, so I limped to a Wal-Mart, purchased some quick fix items to plug the hole (figures, I emptied my car of my "emergency preparedness stuff only two days ago in preparation of the trade in), did my best, but it wasn't good enough...very difficult spot to get to, and it was only partially plugged (with a piece of rag of all things), and one should easily realize that partially plugged where the cooling system is concerned it exactly like not plugged at all! I did purchase 8 gallons of drinking water though, and as it turns out, that's what saved me...right down to the last gallon only a few hundred yards from home. I managed to limp her home, and tomorrow I'll take drop her off with my mechanic (wow! the last repair he'll be doing for me for awhile!), and have her fixed (yeah, I'm thinking she needs "fixed" alright!). Anyway, it figures! Another $150 repair at the last minute. I think it might be cheaper at this point to just not take any more chances with her nickel and diming me to death at the last minute, and just rent a car for the few remaining days...but...I do want to spend what little time I have left with her...maybe a night before cruise for posterity! Geez....y'all know I AM talking about my car, right?

Hmmm...I had no idea there were options like that one could even consider pushing through. I guess I could ask my CA about what they can do to install a sunglass holder cheaply!

Which is why you should Zaino it...then you don't have to worry about it for 4-6 months while it retains its shine and protection! Get that initial drudgery out of the way, then touch her up after subsequent washes with some of the detail spray (Z-7)?

Really? I hadn't seen any DIY on the trunk drawer, nor have I seen any post relating to it at all for that matter. I'll have to track that down, and see if whether or not it's worth it. I did think it would serve a great purpose for me though.

Cargo organizer? I'll have to check that out, as I've read several posts where people use their trunk for carrying fast/prepared foods home instead of using the front cabin area. Woth looking into regardless.

Are you planning on debagding your car? I know lots do for that "clean" look. I was particularly amused by the guy who was looking to buy a 330i badge for his 325i. DEbadging is one thing...REbadging is completely another. The thread that guy started was a flamefest to say the least, but why in the world did he not see that coming?

Fletcher: You broke a cardinal rule...had a similar experience years ago with my 2G Eclipse. The night before I sold her off, she threw a tantrum (failed water pump which caused overheating). My mechanic had to do a rush job in the morning as the car was to go through private sale in the evening ... she was a good car though, they all eerily develop a life of their own years into ownership but no quite the scale of Stephen king's Christine
