door doesn't unlock when I stop the engine?
Can anyone help me out figure out why my car doors (passenger doors, particularly) don't unlock when I turn off the engine.... I take my daughter to daycare or pick up daily. I stop the car and stop the engine but when I try to open her rear door the door is locked. I have to use my key fob to open it. It is very annoying and inconvenient. By the way, I own an 2011 e90 M3. I've tried different settings to see if the door would open but so far nothing. I usually turn on the feature the locks all doors as soon as I drive off. Please help.

It has to get be coded... From the factory the doors does not unlock automatically when you turn off the the car. I had my M3 coded to unlock doors when you turn off the car. Before I would just hit the lock/unlock button when I turn off the car. Not a big deal to me... I do it on my 335i.

Usually any indy BMW shop can enable the feature for you, or a CL ad for BMW coding. Also while its being coded you can enable other cool stuff like euro MDM, automatic folding mirrors when you lock/unlock car, etc....

What is the module and option to enable this? I don't recall having seen it before.

OP, under your remote settings, do you have it set to open driver's door on unlock press, or all doors? Looking at the configuration, you have to have all doors set to unlock with the first remote press in order for this to work. Please let us know.

When I click the door open on the remote, one click opens all doors yes. What's that supposed to mean? I thought like others have said, I have to get it coded. Thanks, which at some point I plan on doing and likely get the DCT GTS Software anyways. So I figured I'll do it then. For now, I'm just pressing the open doors key inside the car.

The setting in idrive only allows you to change which door unlocks when you press the button. What the OP is asking is once engine shuts off, like when you park and hit the start/stop, the car unlocks ALL doors. This needs to be coded |

Yes, they are in CAS: Komfort_eject and ER_keyout_autovr both set to akiv
You also must have Comfort Access, which I'm assuming you do.

Yes it needs to be coded it is located in the CAS module.
mrMTB is correct both values need to be enabled, except you do not NEED Comfort Access. Also if anyone needs help with coding or getting setup send me a PM. |
