Just the track actually and remove it after. It's pretty inexpensive stuff, so I'm willing to try it out and see what happens. I'm sure I'll get a nick here or there, but definitely better than not having it at all or taping up the car every single time.

Plastidip or Paintshield?

I have the paintshield and it works pretty well. Can be a pita to take off if you put it on too thin, but otherwise it works great.

Foam roller. Multiple coats. Put it on THICK or removal is a bitch. Hardly takes any out of the gallon. You could probably get 8 events, depending on how crazy you go, out of a gallon. Maybe more.
