New to the forum 2012 M3 E93
I recently (last Saturday) bought a 2012 E93 M3. Ive always wanted an M3 for as long as I can remember. I never considered a convertible but it was the right price and it was "cherry". 22k miles, white exterior with red leather interior. I like the two tone look of the CF roof of the coupe. Have anyone done a vinyl wrap on the roof. I was considering matte black. Ill post some pics after I resize some on my computer.

I've thought of wrapping the top with 4D CF. If I did, it would be the center section. It would be a pain to get around all the hinged areas...

Welcome and congrats on your purchase! I would first black out the ugly chrome window trim and not worry about the roof wrap. It looks good on tasi333 his car because it has other supporting mods but on a stock e93 I'm not sure how it'll look. Here are some pics he posted up in the official e93 pictures thread (you should check it out if you haven't already) http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403227

The guy I used to tint my windows also does vinyl. 200 for whole top or 150 for center section. I was either going to go with CF or matte black. I think I'm going to pull the trigger. I'll post pics when it's done.

Welcome fellow e93 owner. If you carbon wrap you will get (further) disdain from the E92 crowd here who already look down on us E93ers.

Welcome aboard! I plasti-dipped my trim black to see if I liked it that way. Hell yeah! So now I just need to make it permanent. Not sure the best way to do it without screwing up the trim.....seems like it shouldn't be that difficult.

Just get the 3M vinyl wrap and DIY. I did mine and it was no big deal. Make sure you get enough to do the rear piece and two pieces behind the rear windows using one flat piece each. Trying to stretch it around those areas is a lesson in futility. It is impossible to get the wrinkles out...

I wanted a sunroof so I didn't get a CF roof but I vinyled it CF. I like it and the place I went to got the corners in very nicely.
