e93 and 2 kids - Recaro ProSport child seats

Here are some photos of the Recaro ProSport seats we recently purchased. They fit very well and the boys think they have their own race car seats. In/out access isn't as easy as a minivan, but its much better than I expected. The seats are attached with the LATCH system, but there is no place to attach the top tether.

While I don't recommend it as the everyday family cruiser, it's great for the occassional weekend family drive. Only problem so far is that our 5 year old likes the top down while the 2.5 year old likes it up.

Aren't Recaro Kids seat not legal in North America? Some sort of safety rating compliance issue?

Thanks for all the comments. I took this photo before putting in the seat protector which I picked up about week later. Didn't do any damage -- just the indentions from the seat.

I am pretty sure they are legal as I purchased them at a local Dallas retailer (Buy Buy Baby a division of Bed Bath and Beyond). This is a newer product line that came out within the last year or so. Only drawback is they are heavier than the Britax alternatives.

I have a Recaro convertible car seat for my 8 month old in my E92. Right now it's in the rear facing position and fits perfectly. People that notice it seem to love the fact that there's an infant seat in the back of an M3.

My E90's back seat, love these things. Bravo for doing it in an E93...
