Great point! I don't think a lot of shops know about the little pin near one of the strut tower bolts on each side.

Thanks,

e90 Alignment settings

OK. I just got back from Daniels BMW in Allentown. Had the car aligned there. There was very little adjustment left for camber in the front. I got something around an extra 1/4 degree. I minimized the toe in front while staying in spec.

Factory recommended settings (abreviated and everything is in degrees/minutes) :

Front Axle
Total toe 10' +/- 8'
Camber -1 degree, 10' +/- 20'

Rear Axle
Total Toe 10' +/- 5'
Camber -1 degree, 45' +/- 12'

My before settings:
Front Axle
Total toe 07'
Camber left -1 degree 07', right -1 degree 12'

Rear Axle
Total Toe 03'
Camber left -1 degree 34', right -1 degree 37'

My after settings:
Front Axle
Total toe 03'
Camber left -1 degree, 22', right -1 degree 21'

Rear Axle
Total Toe same as before
Camber same as before

You'd get a little more neg camber by removing the alignment pins, similar to the 1 & 3 series.

We did remove the pins. Camber plates are necessary to get any more out of a stock ride height car.

A lowered car can get slightly more negative camber.

I did not remove the pins and the least negative camber the mechanic could get in the front is -1.6/1.7. So quite close to the spec'd -1.5 max
