Canadians can't drive US registered cars. Otherwise, I'd buy and plate it using my Florida address and driver's license.

This is the launch car that Newbold got from BMW. They couldn't change the specs. I had to switch dealerships becuase BMW pulled Newbold's initial allocations and they weren't supposed to get any till an April build.

Very. Seems like BMW gave out one color to all dealerships in a certain region.

What I don't totally understand is, I thought that all dealerships had the option to configure their "demo" car if they so desired. For non-M cars that are made in relatively high volumes, I can see the rationale in BMW providing everyone with cookie-cutter demos. But for waitlisted cars like the M3, why would they insist on such a policy? |

Newbold was able to configure their demo car, it went to Xcellere.
Apparently, the launch cars are different.

Apparently, there is a difference. All launch cars are spec'd by BMW NA and the dealers have no say in that matter. Those seem to be the cars that BMW had delivered to every dealership for the official launch date.

The dealer by me has two to unload. PM if you want the dealer info. It appears that there are buyers backing out of their purchase option. The have an AW Coupe and Jerez Black Sedan, both loaded and 19" wheels. Might be good for California and Nevada buyers being screwed by their dealers. They also said that they will need buyers for future allocations as well.
Personally, I am still waiting for Sedan, M-DCT, loaded.

Thread Jack! Someone is letting us know that they have a M3 for sale and I added that there are two more here? I am not a dealer, nor am I taking advantage of the site like the original poster. I don't make a dime off of a sale. I am happy to help out other potential buyers!
You Epacy, are constantly a problem on this site with thread jack re-post BS. GET A LIFE!

What's the name of the dealers? I'll post them on the front page if you want. Remember, I'm just trying to provide my BMW brethren helpful knowledge in their quest for the M3.
And please don't bash other members. If you have personal issues with someone here, PM them please. Thanks, Tim |

Thanks Lucid. I've been in the BMW community for years, so it's not like I just popped in here all of the sudden. I try my best to provide useful knowledge to the community here. I can understand how BMW3R would think that though. So no hard feelings.
