What is your dream car.......

......that you seriously think you can own.

Sure we can all fantasize about a Bugatti, but in all truth, some things are best enjoyed as a fantasy.

So what is your dream car that you really think you can own? Is it the M3 or something else?

The other question is this: is the M3 your dream car and you don't even realize it?

Here's what I mean: All my life, I have thought about the "next car" in the chain. Now, by ntaure, I like to live well, but I don't consider myself extravagant. Given that, is the M3 my dream car? Every option I look at compared to the M3 seems compromised in some way for my real life. There is no car that offers all the features of the M3, and does them all better than the M3.

Aston Martin Vantage: Much more $$$$ for the same performance, nearest dealer is 80 miles away

911 S: Much more $$$$ for similar performance, less ride comfort.

Camaro/Mustang: Overall lack of refinement

M5/M6: Too big

C63: front-heavy, lack of grip

RS5: Less dynamic feel

CTS-V coupe: Still a little cheap on the interior, less dynamic feel

Corvette: Vegas Sleazeball image, sloppy interior design (although C7 Corvette may be a game changer).

Anyway, the list goes on.

So what is your realistic dream car, and why is it better for you than your M3?

For me the M3 is the perfect car. Even if I was rich I will own a M3 next to Mc Laren F1, GT3 RS and others exotics :-)

my dream car, since i was 8, was the Porsche 911 turbo. it was literally my dream car because i would have dreams about it. and i went through the whole phase of posters and saving pics and cutting out magazines, etc.

well, now i own a GT3 - i found out that i liked it far better than the Turbo and it's close enough to count. plus the GT3 didn't exist when i was 8 - and it's everything i dreamed it would be. i'm happier knowing i've achieved a lifelong goal, and i know that i will always own this car or another 911.

however, i found that i still don't feel that i'm "done". i will always have a 911 in my garage, but now i find myself looking for something to partner it with. i have the M3 as well, which my wife drives, but i'm thinking a Gallardo would be nice to drive when the GT3 wants to 'rest'....

Funny you say that, my buddy just sold his M3 for a GT3.

I can't think of a car I would take over my M3. The M3 has always been one of my dream cars. I guess a 993 GT2 "Widowmaker", but that's also probably $$$$$$$$.

My dream car is... an airplane. I already have three sports/sporty cars and, sure, I'd like to have a GT3 RS 4.0 or F458 but I'm pretty happy with what I have today. On the other hand, I constantly dream about upgrading to a light jet from my piston single airplane. Some day.

I've gone through the "dream car" phase of my life being fortunate enough to own and drive a variety of cars. Now I focus on selecting a car that I will enjoy driving everyday. As much as I like Porsches, the M3 is a great daily driver and I like it as much (if not more) than the Porsches that I've owned.

growing up mine was a porsche, Hummer, M3 and Ducati and a Malibu boat. I have been there done that on all of them except the porsche. When I was in Highschool I drove a couple porsches and took it off my list cause It drove so harsh. haha.

Now I am getting a new Malibu, a new M3, and I would like to get a gt3RS, but only as a third car. so I have pretty much obtained whats reasonable.
3 kids and one starting college next year or my dream would bump up to a F12Berlinetta.

Assuming money is not an issue, I would take the Carrera GT any day. It sounds incredible and is silently becoming a collector car.

When I was a teen it was a large limo (I think it was a 600 S-Klasse Mercedes). That was in Germany at a summer job I was allowed to drive this car out of and back into the garage after washing it

Then later after comming to Canada it was the 450 SL only I found out during a test drive I was too tall for that car so my focus went to the Bimmer. In 1987 I was fortunate enough to purchase a new one 535is it became my dream car of the time untill I fell in love with the e46.

For now it is this fine excample of the perfect toy it simply makes me smile

On one of my upcomming Euro trips I might just get this mistress (even if slightly used) and store her at my brothers place (naturally I will never tell my wife about it or I'll end up in the dog house for sure). I've never ever did have a mistress time to give it a go, I know I will fit i no this one I did once you almost sit on the floor in this fine car (you see I can do it since I travel to Europe solo). So then this is my dream car meanwhile the M3 will do just fine

Just took ED of my 2012 SSII M3. Its my dream car. It's not even on the boat to come home so saying any other car is my dream car could cause major Karma damage and possible hurt feelings!

I'm gonna wait til the break in service before saying anything else lmao!!!

As an enthusiast, I don't have 1 dream car.. Some of them are:

Pagani Zonda. S or F or Cinque or R or RS.. doesn't matter.
Lamborghini Aventador & Gallardo
McLaren Mercedes SLR
Ferrari 458
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Maserati Quadroporte
Porsche GT3 RS 4.0
Aston Martin V8 / V12 Vantage
McLaren MP4-12C
Lancia Delta Integrale
Lancia Fulvia
'67 Mustang
Alfa Romeo GTA
Original Mini (I prefer the late 90s model with sportpack)
E30 M3

Isn't it sad that there is only 1 bmw (that is 25 years old) in the list?

after all the cars I have had in my life so far I can honestly say I think I have found a car that fits all my needs and past all my expectation. Yes a ferrari 458 Italia would be ultimate but I could never justify the cost.

The e92M3 with a ESS supercharger and its in a indiv color. I think it def is my dream car as of now.
