What would you do?

To give you some history,

Currenty I have a deposit on an E92 M3 for a spring/summer allocation with Military Sales. I plan on getting MDCT and all the other performance goodies. Basically my price with Military sales will be somewhere in the mid to upper 60's.

I am also on a list to get a Nissan GTR for Fall 09 allocation. As you know that car comes basically loaded in the upper 60's. So the difference in price for me is really just a few K. However, my Fall 09 allocation is not garunteed as the rep I am talking to is not sure he can allocate me one at the price he is trying to get for me. But its 70% gonna happen (thru Mil Sales again).

My gut tells me to cancel the E92 M3 order and hold for the possibility of getting the GTR. Here is my reasoning. The GTR is going to continue to get built in extremely small numbers making it very rare. The GTR is by the superior performer. As far as luxury, it can be argued the interior of the GTR is even superior (I guess its subjective still).

But, what would you do?

Jason

i have to say, i wouldn't know what to do either. but would probably lean toward the GT-R. as you say, it is going to be a lot rarer than the M3 so in the worst case, you can sell it for more than you bought if for (before they become widely available).

+1 Get the M3, sell it, get the GT-R. Performance and exclusivity make the GT-R a no brainer. As far as luxury, I'll give it to the M3, definitely.

I could sell my 335 right now in FL and get my money back, thats the biggest benefit of Mil car sales. Civilians pay the markup and we dont.

Ha, I like the way your thinking.

Yeah I will most likely wait for the GTR. My hope is that Nissan will be more likely to allocate to Mil Sales in 2009 with hopeful increase in production. Nissan Mil Sales carries other limited editions and limited production cars like the NISMO Z.

I didnt know Nissan had Mil car sales. Interesting. But yeah, don't get something you'll regret. You only have to wait another year, right? lol
