INSTALLED! Pics now posted! Just received ZHP illuminated shift knob...

INSTALLED *PICS POSTED BELOW*And the weight of this thing is AWESOME. I ordered it from the guy in Germany on ebay, and despite the language barrier, this thing is awesome!! Got home late last night from a trip and came to my mailbox to see a package from Deutsche Post in the mailbox The knob is DEFINITELY OEM, and it looks awesome. I heard from many users on here that the "M" doesn't light up, but I asked him if he could in the most simplest of english, and translated to german, if he could make the "M" in the center light up. He said he could, and it would not cost extra. Maybe he can source them now. I will take pics later and I will take more pics once I have it installed with my new tri-color napa leather shift boot and e brake handle I ordered, as well.

For those who are thinking of using leather Z, don't. Knob came in exactly 2 1/2 weeks from Germany and is perfect. The boots were ordered from redline goods, and the quality looks STELLAR with the stitching that matches about 98% to the steering wheel. I opted for the Napa leather, as opposed to the standard one, because this is what BMW uses for their boots. They look identical in texture, size, and smell.

Based on just observing how "heavy" it is plus the size and feel of it, I have no doubt I will love this, too!

I think the eBay guy's ZHP light is slightly "red" compare to OEM. But def. good price compare to LeatherZ.

If it's slightly red, then that won't bother me--just wanted to retain the OEM look as much as possible!

Can't wait to see the pictures! Be sure to capture the leather and stitching detail in your new shift boot as well.

I've been holding out waiting for BMW to release their new illuminated ZHP knob made for the new M5.

I will be sure to take many pictures for you. I have an iphone 4s that takes very good focused pictures, and I will do my best!

Keep posted around 6:30 PM tonight when I should have them all up.

Got them from Redline Goods,
http://redlinegoods.com/Mstitch.php

The version 5 is the one. It looks different than what I posted, but they revised their version to look virtually indistinguishable to the steering wheel after some people wanted a better match. What I showed a picture of is the Version 5, with the Napa leather upgrade--so that it is not glossy but 100% BMW specific. Took about 2 days for them to make it, and it comes from Poland (they are hand made). Delivery took only 4 days from Poland, so it came very quick (a week in all.)

Good price. Wished someone would offer already attached to the trim ring though.

I wish they did too--that was another one of my gripes trying to find the boots, shift knob, etc. I am just going to use an X-Acto knife and trim off the stock one and super glue the new one onto it. Same with the Ebrake too. See how it goes...

Thanks for the detail info.
How much did you pay total (shift and brake boot combo looks like 69) + any extra for Version 5 M-stitching? and shipping?

I paid $117 out the door including shipping. The Napa leather adds about $15 or so dollars, and the M stitching adds the rest. Shipping was 9 dollars priority from Poland. For the price and the discount you get for buying both boots cannot be beat. My pictures speak for themselves and they feel AWESOME.

We need to find someone that just sells the trim rings now. I'd be all over this.
