By day, I'm a law abiding citizen working earnestly in an office cubicle . By night, I'm a notorious hustlin' pimp, running on the streets of la collecting my cash money. nuff said

I wonder the same thing..
Though, between my current mortgage payment+property tax and private school tuition for 2 elementary school kids, I could probably get a nice ESS after 3 months. In this economy, I have just happy to be able to put away a little bit every month; even a few hundreds. I am sure several ballers out there NOW are sweating monthly payments of the car, mods, and SC kit.. hey, I once was there when I got my '05 ZCP and modded it like crazy in my late twenties. Never again. But to each his own. Whatever makes you happy and don't hurt other people in the process, DO IT! |

If you have to ask this question you probably can't afford to do it. Maybe you should have invested your dividend check instead of buying an M3.
I guess what I am saying is that you should be financially secure before you buy an expensive car like an M3. You should really be financially secure before dropping big money in a car to modify it. I paid cash for all my mods..... If I couldn't pay cash for them I wouldn't have modded my car. Best of luck with whatever you decide...... Modified or stock the M3 is an amazing car. |

I am very financially secure. I own my own home which is more than 75 % paid off. I have no credit card bills. I own my m3 outright and my 2010 rubicon outright. I could pay cash for a supercharger now, but like you said I put a nice nest egg in savings that I would rather now blow on a sc.
It was just a simple question....14k + for most people is a brand new car. I was thinking that if you could drop an extra 14k cash why some people wouldnt just opt for a faster car all together, like a porsche or m5 etc..
