Anybody ever gotten coverage for a defective tire off the BMW Road Hazard warranty?
So, I put new winters on my M3, and within 130 miles, one of them had two sidewall blisters on the inside sidewall.
It's a hell of a thing to figure out whether that's a manufacturing defect in the sidewall, or I hit a pothole (which I don't remember doing, and the rim's not dinged). I have the BMW wheel and tire warranty. When I called them to submit a claim, I pointed out that the contract terms have one paragraph providing full coverage for tires on the car where the damage is a manufacturing defect, followed by another paragraph providing coverage for road hazard. They want me to take the tire to the local dealer for inspection to verify the damage is a road hazard, but they are taking the contract language under advisement. Anybody ever gotten paid for a tire defect off the BMW tire warranty? |

I have a third party tire warranty that I purchased from the Dealer when I bought my M3 in 2008.
Since then they have paid for four tires and one rim. It has paid for itself and beyond.
