BMW considers this a "feature" of the S65. Short time duration weight loss.

Just like taking out the turbo in the evo for weight savings!

Or the E46M3 rear subframe cracking: dynamic rear steering!

Oh, I thought you were supposed to take out that subframe to save weight?

Went for a 10 mile spin driving "spirited" - bounced off redline 10 or so times. Seems to be good, no leaks!! I'm so happy it worked out. Treated the oil with Liqui Moly Ceratec too, so we'll see how it goes. (Using Castrol TWS 10-60 Professional)

Nice. Does the car seem smoother with the ceratec?

Some thoughtful people want to surprise me and help me with some race car weight reduction. Such kind people out there. I didn't even ask too! Generous.

Drove 300 miles Friday and I swear I'm getting better gas mileage. 22 mpg from Redwood City CA to Hanford CA.

It had to happen outside yesterday. Probably at dinner or something. Didn't drive it all week.

Trying to figure out what the point of doing that would be :/

Almost want this to happen to me so I can replace my battered track-sandblasted bumper
