I thought my car felt funny and I always thought it was something to do with the manual transmission. At least now I know I've been a beta tester for BMW for all these years. I'll write up my findings so when they build the next M3 they'll know what to do.

I choose MT over dct because I would rather have fun than be a fraction of a second faster. Also for the amount of abuse, I find the MT will have less issues in the long run. I guarantee you at one point the clucth will wear out on both transmission. Take a guess on which one I would rather spend my lunch money on. I do plan on keeping this car well pass 100k mark.
imo if your after the fastest lap times, dont care for maintenance issues, the by all means get a dct. I for one dont even look at lap times. Would rather spend my money having fun than fixing the car. |
