Small bump sitting still.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I'm sitting still at a stop ,engine running and I feel what appears to be a small bump like someone has tapped the back of my car.I look in the rearview and nobody in sight.seems
Ike it has something to do with the car settling down in some way but I can't figure it out.

My DCT does this after first starting at the first traffic light. After that I don't feel it again, ever. I have no idea what it is and don't really care because it doesn't effect driving and has been that way since I bought the car. I may will ask about it at my next service if it gets worse or does it more often.

That's what she said, in dismay.

Do you have DCT? Actually, do you have an M3. I guess, so but your info still says Z3M, which coincidentally, I have been thinking about for a future purchase...

If you have M3/DCT - is it possible you are not coming to a full stop, and then without thinking about it, letting your foot off the gas just slightly? I have noticed myself do that on occasion. The thing with the DCT is you really have to come to a full "legal" stop to get it to disengage the clutch(es) fully. Otherwise it sits there with the clutches slipping away ever so slightly, just waiting to lurch forward when you remove your foot from the brake.

I have this same problem. I tried to explain this to my dealership, but they can't reproduce the same feeling. It happens 50% of the time after I come to a complete stop and right when I tap the accelerator. It's very annoying -.- even though im the only one that can feel it
