"no" "yes" Well I guess that covers all the possible answers to the question.

you'll have to be willing to loose some money while trying to get rid of your current lease though...

Is that really what you want to spend your extra $400/month on?
Why not wait a bit and stash up a nest egg of sorts. There are a lot of things that you can do with that kid of $; the difference in day to day driving between the 335 and M3 is not much compared to, say, getting a mountain bike, or taking vacations, or being able to put a down payment on a house. My advice? Buy BMW AG stock instead.

I guess I shouldn't be picking on the OP for how he wants to spend his money. It just pains me to see people making terrible financial decisions.

Not when the question is so obviously absurd. It's like a child asking you if he can eat soap.

Why is the question so "obviously absurd?" Maybe you don't think he should upgrade, but that's another matter entirely. He hasn't stated how much money he could put down or if he's leasing or buying. You can lease leftover '08 M3s these days for $600-700/month.

Is this a question that you would ask on a forum or are your personal finances and ability to afford items x, y, or z something that you kind of have a handle on and expect other people (especially people driving BMW's) to as well? If you think that's perfectly ok to go asking complete strangers if you can afford stuff, then ok, we're never going to agree that this is an absurd topic. If, on the other hand, you agree that people should have a modicum of fiscal awareness and responsibility in their lives, then you see why I think this question is fail. |
