Just checked one out yesterday sitting locally here in the Bay Area. It was a performance white with gloss black graphics and it was absolutely beautiful. The fit and finish of the interior was great! The Recaro's were very comfy and the Alcantara Steering wheel was a nice touch.
But a 15k markup! Sales Manager quickly says we can do 5k over but that was just ridiculous to see on the window sticker. I would have drove it home if they agreed to MSRP. I'll try to post some pics I took. |

So you are right, these things will be available at MSRP if not now then shortly. I love Mustangs, I'm just not into that retro thing anymore. It was cool in 05, now I want a modern car. Dave

Speaking as someone who paid $CAD35,500 for my 2011 GT Brembo with a fairly good list of options, I'm not unhappy I didn't get a Boss for 50% more. They're a fabulous car, but value for money says "get a GT".
I'm lucky because the tracks I run on favour handling over horsepower. An extra 50 HP won't improve lap times nearly as much as a set of new dampers and springs. |

My brother has an LS on order. He's down in the Bay area but I got his through a dealer near me to get the order. What we found out was that it's not how much money you have, it's who you know. The only way we got it is because my wife knows the owner of another local dealer who referred us to the dealer and we had to drop his name to even be considered to buy one. Crazy way to do business...

I've driven a 5.0 mustang, they're fast. I'm sure the BOSS 302 is reaaaally fast. However, I just simply did not like driving the mustang, car just felt too damn big and I hated the visibility out of the front of the car over that big, long ass hood. I've also driven an E92 M3, and I've never felt more in love with a car. Guess which car I'm about to order? Yes, the M3. Do I care if a cheaper car can beat my car around a specific track I'll probably never drive it on? Not really. All I care about is the fact I'm going to f'ing love my M3 every single time I get behind the wheel. |

Love the new Boss. 996/7 GT3 fast in a straight line, M3 beater on a track. If you can deal with the mustangness that goes along with it, then it's the car to have

What's the point? Obviously the BOSS 302 is a faster car, it has 444hp and R compound tires. Cars are like women, never know which one is really better until you give it a test drive. You can assume the girl that looks like a 10 is better in bed than the 9, but you wont' know unless you can try both of them out. Just because the BOSS is faster around Laguna Seca doesn't mean it's the car you'd want to buy. |

Just saw one yesterday at local dealership with the optional LSD. They wanted 10000 over msrp, but they said they may negotiate They said ford is only giving two per dealership. Does anyone know if the regular 302 is going to be a limited run this year only or if that's only the Laguna? That's what they were claiming but I heard that was only for the Laguna. Nice car for sure. This particular car was orange and REALLY stood out. I wish they had a toned down version...Of curse the BOSS is meant to get attention. The interior was nice but fit and finish was otherwise typical Mustang save the seats and steering wheel.

That sounds about right. The Boss 302s are limited production (I've seen numbers from 3000-4000 each year for two years). 600-750 of those will be LS editions. The dealership that we ordered an LS from was given 2 allocations (1 regular, 1 LS edition). Another local dealership was only getting one Boss 302 for the year. Dealer allocations was based on their relationship with corporate, regional considerations, and how many Mustangs they sell each year.
