Wheel/Tire Size Question

It's getting around that time to switch wheels and tires, so I was considering changing our my stock 19" wheels to something else. I do have a couple of questions and hopefully y'all could give me some insight on it. As a little preface, I dont track very often (if at all lol), the roads here in Houston are so/so, and I'm on stock supension.

1. Do 18"s provide a noticably better ride than 19"s?

2. If I wanted to to stay on stock suspension, what would be the most aggressive fitment on wheels and tires. I'm fairly new around here and to aftermarket whees, in general, so I'm completely new and unfamiliar to wheel sizes/offset/etc. ***given no rubbing, obviously

3. As far as comfort and treadlife go, is PSS still the best bang for your buck option? Also since the stock OEM sizes (of PSS) are on backorder (last I've heard), what could be some of the better tire brands, if I wanted to stay in OEM tire sizes?

For replacements I'm learning towards APEX EC-7s in anthracite (my car is interlagos blue). I'm just unsure on what tire and wheel size would look best (either 18's or 19's, tire width, etc.).

Thanks in advance.

You want:

APEX EC-7 or PS-7

18x9.5 ET22 front with 265/35/18 Michelin PSS
18x10.5 ET 27 or 22 rear with 285/35/18 Michelin PSS
