Cool VF-Engineering E92M3 "stealth fighter" demo car build up

This is my first post as a sponsor for this forum. Sorry that I do not yet have my sponsorship title yet added. I have PM'd Bfoster for some help.

VF supercharged E46 M3s are a highly popular phenomenon. Using our formula for product design, our engineers have been delivering rock solid supercharger systems for over 12 years. After all, all they do is develop supercharger systems! The decision to develop a product for the latest M3 was easy.

If you happen to live in Orange County California, you may have seen our car flying up and down the 405 or 5 freeway? No ? Ok,, then we are going to unravel it all here in this thread! Or you can come and visit us, at our newly renovated development facility at the address on our website.

The purpose of this car, is to destruction test our supercharger system that has been in development/testing since Dec 08, and have a little fun to share with the forum!

Chapter 1: Bodywork

Our car was torn down at about 2500 miles by Nate & Rett, owners of
http://www.candccollision.com

The car started off life a "Space Grey Metallic". Being the non-moonroof option, it has the factory carbon fiber roof. Vorsteiner provided the trunk lid, front and rear valances. All the trims we removed and the order was given "Nate, do whatever you want, as long as it is flat".

The C&C team went to work dismantling the car and sanding the gloss clearcoat off everything, including the roof and all the brand new Vorsteiner parts! Most shops would think twice about taking a sheet of sandpaper to a brand new BMW carbon fiber roof on a brand new car, Nate and Rett did not! This was all in their stride and their confidence comes from years of performing work on high end exotics.

After testing a range of products, Nate chose to re-finish the entire car and all trims in a custom flat clear coat. He tested the carbon with the new clear coat and matched a solid color which he used to two-tone the rest of the car. The two-toned areas are predominantly the lower side valances and all the trims. To enhance the look of the factory power bulge Nate applied a "boomerang" design. We will post up several shots of these features over the 4th of July weekend.

Nate and his crew set to work on the car on a Monday and had it ready for collection the following Monday. The results of their hardwork was just jaw dropping. The first fully repainted E92 M3 in the world. The flat black 4 door 335 in Socal is wrapped.

Here is an iso-shot of the VF beast. Thankyou Nate and Rett. More pics to follow.

How many psi is your supercharger? How's the development going? Get the software down? Any dynos? Would love to hear more about it, I know you guys made good power on the E46.

Welcome to the forum. Yah, it really takes a set to put sandpaper to new M3. But the results are outstanding. I'd love to see this IRL. Now what's being done about weight reduction?

Cheers.

I heard they were boosting 5.5-6.0 psi, and that the car was running very hot after a few laps...

Please keep the hearsay out of this thread, or feel free to start your own thread - but make sure to call it "the rumor thread".

More info will be released gradually, including specs, pics and dynos which are done. Here is just one of the test cars being baselined and software tested quite a while a go.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Hi Nik,

I was a proud owner for your RSR+GIAC DSG flash+ Clutch pack upgrade in Taiwan. I think you should know my car. Anyways I purchased a E92 M3 because I love the kit you guys did on my Golf. I think Eric have shown you guys all the damage we did in Taiwan. I am also ready for the VF Supercharge kit

Looks mean. My only criticism is the reflector on the front bumper. It stands out like a sore thumb. Is it the accent color on the hood or just the picture?

It would have been a nice touch to have them mold in a filler piece for it when doing the body work.

Thankyou for the feedback. I am sure C&C who painted the car, would love to talk to anyone here if you ever wanted a hi-end paint job or meticulous repair. If you do call them, let them know how you heard about them.

Hey Eug! You have certainly put the competition in their grave with your VF/E51 powered built turbo. Now onto the V8M ! I heard you picked one up. I also heard that they are about 3 times the price in Taiwan than what they are in the US? Thankyou for the compliments.

Here the beast is parked in the entry of the Palazzo in Vegas for MFest3.

Note 1) the boomerang on the OEM power buldge hood. 2) color matched tear drops, kidneys and emblem 3) flat Vorsteiner carbon front diffuser.

More images coming.

I love your color, space gray and silverstone are my favorites. That flat clear coat is sick. I wonder what the silvertone would look like with a flat clear coat. Has anyone seen one?
