Klassen Wheels

Is there anyone here who has ordered a set of Klassens within the last several months and is experiencing a significant delay in delivery? I ordered my wheels around April 7 - they still have not shipped, and it has been over a week since I was told they were 'in assembly'. I'm just curious as to what is going on because I've never heard of anyone else having timeliness issues (or any complaints at all) with Klassen. I was given an explanation for the initial delay, but subsequent estimates of shipping dates have long passed and I am becoming concerned.

Thanks

Thanks--I exchanged PMs with him a while back -- his delivery was pretty much on-schedule.

That's crazy, all my experiences with Klassen have been delivered BEFORE the expected time... Maybe you should get in contact with your vendor...

I have been in touch with the vendor several times and that is where i have gotten my info - I've done business with the vendor in the past and had a great experience ordering HREs. BTW, I ordered the same wheels you previously had with less aggressive fitment in the rear - your car was my inspiration, so this is YOUR fault : ).

Try e-mailing or calling Klassen directly to see if the info you are getting from your vendor is accurate. Vendors can a do make timeframe mistakes. It's always a good idea to follow up on these things...

This is serious business.

When there is a unexplained hickup like this...you need to get serious as well. (fast) It's your money. Don't allow yourself to be so easily brushed off by the weak response you got. You need to apply a little pressure here. Just my .02

UPDATE

It looks like my wheels will be shipping today or Monday, and Klassen has taken steps to compensate for the delay. Klassen had some parts supply issues with respect to my wheels, but they have been taken care of.

If anyone ever has an issue with a Klassen order, I highly recommend getting in touch with the CEO, Frank Lee. He's a straight shooter and a very nice, approachable guy. Unlike the reps of another custom wheel company I dealt with in the past, Frank seems to really care about customer service and his company's reputation. I was most impressed with the fact that Frank actually called me when he said he would, and made extra informational calls to me at his own initiative. Sadly, this is atypical behavior these days. From my past experiences, vendors often use delay tactics and try to avoid engaging customers when potential disputes arise.

So, despite the lengthy delay, I am happy with the way the situation has been handled. I can't wait to see what the wheels look like!

That is good to hear. Sounds like Klassen is a business who wants to stay in business, unlike certain companies...cough 360forged cough.

Glad to hear that you decided to contact the man in charge at Klassen.

Too many guys never take that next step, so they end up in the dark as to what's going on behind the scenes. This is why I always tell wheel buyers to cover their butt...and see if the dealer is really on top of things or not.

A little extra effort usually pays off.

I'm happy to see that Klassen stepped up to the plate to make you happy.

Post pics when you get them mounted.

Will do, and thanks for your input. I always hesitate to contact the manufacturer directly when I order through a vendor because I don't want to step on the vendor's toes, especially when the vendor is responsive and trying to help - but sometimes you do have to go directly to the source. Now it's a 2-week wait for my Vredestein rears -- I ordered the fronts but was told Vredestein just released the 285/30/20s I need for the rears.

Glad Frank called you, he's a stand up guy but you have the wrong last name.

You'll love the rims, they're worth the wait... Count how many compliments you get on the rims.. I lost count when I had them.

My bad - I'm an idiot--it's Frank Lee. I corrected my post. I got his last name mixed up with the other gentleman there.
