Pistons show no sign of detonation. Looks like motor was running very healthy

doesn't yellowing or orange-yellow appearance on top of the piston mean there was detonation? at least that's how i understood it. I could be wrong though =)

Yes it does, it looks yellow/orange in the picture but that's due to the lighting and flash. Also piston detonation looks like little pin holes, or the piston completely missing a chunk. Here's what piston detonation looks like....

Here's some better pictures, one fully cleaned, half cleaned, and still dirty. This time with flash off and better lighting. This should clear things up. As you guys can see, no signs of detonation :] Let us know if you would like us to clean the rest of the pistons ;]

Are the OEM pistons, rods and crank forged or cast? Is the block sleeved?

The components look stout from the pictures. There's a lot of mass in the valvetrain with the chains and Vanos components. How does the combustion chamber/port design/valve profiles look? Do you think the roll off of power at redline is due to head flow limitations, valve size, cam profile, a combination? Just wondering where the best bang for the buck is to get more power out.

Thanks

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!
