Best Match Cat Back Exhaust for Fabspeed xPipe

Hey Guys,

Just ordered the Fabspeed xPipe system from Joe at Fabspeed and am seeking some valued input on what cat back exhaust system to match it with.

I've used Fabspeed before with a track oriented GT3 and respect their gear and wish they made the cat back exhaust to match, but alas have to look elsewhere.

Any Fabspeed owners out there running alternative catback exhausts?

Thanks in Advance!

Paul.

The AA Signature sounded insane when I was running Fabspeed's x-pipe w/o resonators. Sounded very exotic .

I don't know what's best but I would suggest to stay away from Remus Race. Sounds way too raspy when paired with a full x-pipe.

Not trying to put you out there.

But it seems like you have a strong hate for Remus Race from what I have seen on here.

Did someone or a company screw you on the exhaust or something?

Sorry, just wondering.

Theres a video here of the Remus race and with the fabspeed x pipe floating here somewhere..

HERE:

with remus race and x pipe.

just HFC's, pulley, tune and x pipe. no secondary exhaust, stock mufflers.

is the cat bypass with stock mufflers.

Eisenmann Race with the X pipe would sound good!

All I could say is that I hope it can mate well with the Vanguard exhaust...since I'm getting the exhaust first and buying the fabspeed pipes next year

I heard the Remus Race w/ Fabspeed in person and it was insanely loud and insanely raspy. Not something that I'm really loving. I do understand it's a love hate thing so I'm sure there are plenty of people who love that like davedave

Davedave's had no rasp, maybe if you get it with resonators it takes away the rasp. I've noticed our engine without resonators sounds very raspy naturally.

Davedave bought his x-pipe from me. It doesn't have any resonators at all. I think it's the stock cats that minimize rasp; once you remove those they get much raspier.

Vids/Sound as promised. Unfortunately, we were limited to my Panasonic Lumix point-and-shoot. Sound could be better, but it isn't terrible. Also, this is my first time doing the whole vid thing... Definitely need to locate a better road for these kinds of things.

Downshifting on the way back...

I'd really like to hear an Encore X-pipe with HFC & Resonators mated to a Remus Race or Sport because that's what I'm thinking of going with. Anyone got a vid??

Wondering the same thing, as I think the Remus Sport sounds a bit one-dimensional .

My current setup, but with resonators... I think it sounds great.

Thanks rfoss,

the clips are a bit short but of course unless in person it'll never sound as is. Do you have any sound vids of the Remus sport or the AA exhaust you installed by chance? I'm open to all ideas before I go and commit to a system.

I think I like the Remus/Fabspeed combo with no resonators. But I don't know if my neighbors are going to like it so much.

Really.

Do you have the Axle Back RPI or Full Catless Setup?

Please post a video/sound clip.

IMO, nothing sounds better than RPI. Nothing.
