Matte Black Wrap in Houston area?

So I was thinking about getting my car wrapped in matte black and wanted to know if anyone knows a good shop in Houston that can wrap cars?

Well, I had my wife's 350z done in real satin black hot rod paint, not wrap. Some people, well most assume its wrapped. Wrapping is the easy way out of course IF your going a damage color change then it will be noticeable in the engine bay/trunk/rocker panels that the color is different.

Interested to know if you find a good place in the area.

I'm seriously considering going through the process, my car is a rock magnet.

agreed. The cold with a heat gun is terrible but you learn to work it out by working in steps and having the heat gun at a lower temp.

Hey guys I have a $600 roll of matte black vinyl. If there are any DIYers out there I'll be happy to unload some so you don't have to buy the whole roll like I did. I bought it to wrap my e30 but it turned into an huge task as it peeled off the clear coat requiring me to go back and sand everything down. Only got as far as the trunk (which looks pretty awesome) but haven't figured out a way to strip off only the clear coat while leaving some paint and primer behind for rust prevention.

I also want to wrap my 1m with it but it's a lot more complex of a job. I can't think of a cool way to partially cover it other than a stripe (might be kinda cool to have a matte black stripe on a BSM car).

Anyways let me know if you want to play around with it I'll be at the meet this weekend.

Erick

Don't do it Daniel! That is going to add some unnecessary weight and hurt your times at the track.
