Did anyone DIY the Vorsteiner CF hood??

Before the hood arrives next week I would like to get some advices on installation, yes I am doing it by myself and possibly another friend or my brother

From what I heard it is basically a easy swap without modification. I was inspecting the OEM hood the other night and found some areas that I am not 100% sure how to:

1. Driver's side lift: how to remove them to fit onto the cf hood? just yank it out?

2. Located a bit below the hood lift there is this as picture shows. Do I unscrew all 3 including the silver one and transfer them to the cf hood? Do I have to disconnect the battery before I unscrew the silver nut?

3. The rest: I assume they just need to be unscrew and transfer to the cf hood?

I haven't really seen the construction underneath the Vorsteiner hood hopefully it is easy swap like I have heard.

Should be fairly simple assuming it fits well. Also, you will probably have to delete the hood struts when you put the new one on.

There's a metal clip that you pop out with a flat head screw driver. Once that clip is out it will slide out. Do not attempt to yank it out before you remove the retaining clip.

I see, but the two struts still go on to the CF hood?

You will need to ask Vorsteiner, but I would recommend against it. The struts are too strong for a CF hood and you could run into some issues if you use them.
