Oil leaking

Pardon the ignorance. E92 M3, had "add one quart" message last week. Added one quart on Wednesday, by Friday noticed oil leaking all over garage floor. Learned here that inadequately tightened oil cap is common issue so re-tightened cap and washed out engine bay. First drive was today and after getting home from work noticed more leaking. Is it possible that there are pools of oil under the engine compartment that still need to work their way out? I'm starting to worry that there is an actual leak elsewhere. Information system said oil level was ok this morning. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a small leak. I would get it looked at by the dealer.

Some oil might still be on the engine cover plate. The only way to know for sure, is to take the cover off and clean it. Then look underneath and make sure that you don't have any leaks. Very doubful that you have leaks on the engine.
