GTS DCT Tuned.. or not?

A few days ago i got the GTS DCT tune from a very prominent source here.

Once it was done, Shifting was/is noticeably faster and more crisp, there is no doubt about that.

However, I was under the assumption that GTS tune automatically sets drive mode in D2 on startup. Mine does not do this, is there a reason why?

Also, after a few days, the low rpm's seemed to develop a jerkiness or hesitation to engage. Say I was in M mode and 2nd gear and rolled into the throttle, the motor rpm would rise, but the transmission wouldn't be accelerating and then it finally engages, sometime with a clunk.

Is it possible they didnt actually load the tune and only did a factory reset or adaptation clear, or something entirely different?

Anyone else have DCT issues after a GTS tune?

If your car doesn't go into D2 after switching from Neutral it sounds like the file didn't fully load.

You need to go back to your "prominent source" and get an answer.

Mine definitely defaults to D2 everytime after the GTS flash.

I am, although i wouldn't call him a tuner, but uploader.

Im more concerned with the fact that the transmission is now jerky at low rpms

Since I went to GTS I've noticed....

Pros: Faster shifts, defaults to D2, memory of last S used
Cons: seems jerkier at low speeds. seems clunkier all together

I have been considering removing it.

You were really saving up for that one…I can tell..

I'll take slower and guaranteed, over faster and stranded

Well I've owned the car in both configurations. Have you? It's obviously mated better with the DCT even tho I prefer a manual transmission in almost every other car.

If you really think DCT are leaving people stranded all the time you have no clue what you are talking about. How does 'low rpm jerk' turn into stranded on the side of the road?
