michelin pilot sport cup + on 19"

latest info from m-gmbh garching:

19" cars in germany will be equipped with cup+ tyres regardles of drivers package. the only reason why actually released cars still come with ordinary ps2 tyres is that m-gmbh has logistic problems / not enough new cup+ in stock....the problem will be solved latest with beginning of 2008

so great info for all 19" drivers!

Where can I read details of these tires and differences between Pilot Sport Cup? Google is of no help, at least from what my cursory search revealed.

Note that they are only rated "80" for wear.

Greg, I saw that info, but that's for Pilot Sport Cup (no "+"), right?

Am I mistaken or are the "+" actually a new, different tire (better wet traction?)?

According to my information (which now seems to be true again) this applies for all cars in the European Union.

Best regards, south

Sorry, missed tjhe "+". Don't see them listed on the Michelin website, though.

Ring

This is good news for the ring times and means that BMW/Sportauto can not be charged with a "switch-aroo". I doubt US cars will come equipped this way.

Don`t like it. These are tires for race conditions, not for standart road trips, aspecialy not for bad weather conditions.
Just give me the normal PS, that will do fine IMO
