2008 E92 6MT non-EDC 16,300 miles
I'm making the difficult decision to sell my non-EDC, non-Nav 2008 E92 M3. It has 16k miles on it. I'm the first and only owner of this car and I babied it since I brought it home. I'm a purist and Motorsport fan boy. I had not made a single change to the car since it left the factory. However, when the warranty expired in in April of 2013, I made three cosmetic changes: 1) Concept One 20" rims and tires 2) H&R Sport Springs for a 1.0 inch lowering 3) Replaced orange side markers with white side markers. While I've had this car, it never spent a night (or a day) left outside. The head lamp plastic has zero signs of UV decay. I've never taken it to the track. I have had a handful of friends ride in the passenger seat. They joke about needing to remove their shoes when they get in. The front license plate was never drilled and mounted. I still have to original dealer stickers on the windshield. The oil and filter are changed every 12 to 18 months. Always with Castrol 10W60. Except the last one, after reading articles, I decided to try liqui moly. I don't drive enough to tell if there is a difference. The original BMW 18" rims and tires are kept in perfect condition and will be INCLUDED. I don't feel like switching them out or trying to sell them separately. From what I read, the OEM 18's are supposed to be more responsive and provide better fuel economy. I don't drive enough to worry about fuel. I usually fill only a gallon of gas every month and have the gas reminder warning constantly on. Again, from what I've read, the same gas shouldn't sit in the tank. My 20 miles a month burns through that single gallon. Why am I selling it? The car needs to go to a good home and be enjoyed. I have a number of other vehicles and this is the last one on the list to drive. I will not run errands or go to store in this car. I won't take the kids anywhere in this and definitely will not be going through the drive through to get happy meals. In the early years, I drove this about 4,000 miles per year and it was amazing. As life got busy, I drove it less and now hardly ever. It's been long paid off, but the Virginia government makes sure I pay the property tax on it yearly. Allstate also makes sure they take a chunk since a teenager at the registered address counts as a driver. Said teenager has never been in the car. Given that a 6MT, non edc, non nav, and in this color is kind of rare, I'm asking $36,000. I have a quoted offer from a service for $34,000 - they will turn around and sell it for $37,000. I want to reach out to the community to give other enthusiasts an opportunity to weigh in on what the accurate price should be. I can vouch this is a clean car. I drove it and was close to making a deal. I purchased a 2008 with ess supercharger from letm3be. Jon seems to be a good dude.

The OEM rims have rear tires that were manufactured in 2008, the fronts were replaced with tires manufactured in 2011. All have 90% or more tread. However, given the age I don't think they should be driven on. Or is this an urban legend about aging rubber?
