Plastidipped rims
So I dipped the rims to see if this is the color I would like to powder coat them. Plastidip doesn't really look bad at all if you ask me... As long as it is done right.

Do you debead the tire before you spray it? I once saw a wheel where the plastidip shrunk and started to pull off the edges. That's the only thing that kept me from trying it myself.

I will be doing this to my ZCP's once my winter rims come off. Figured it would be easier while they're off the car.

Just make sure you put tire shine around the tire and clean the wheel really good. The tire shine allows you to peel it away from the rim extremely easily. Also you would think you would have to stencil around the emblem but it peels off around the emblem perfectly

I want to do this to my wheels. I like the gunmetal look, but don't want to go permanent. Makes me nervous, though. I tried an "experiment" with that Paintshield 5720 (or whatever it was called) stuff on my S5 right before the changeover, and that didn't go over so well... Doh!

haha they look good bro. I also did plasti dip at first to see how well my rims would look black. They came out so good i left them on. Its been about 9 months and they still look good. I do an occasional respray for touch up every 2 months or so.
