And you hate yourself. You call BMW lovers brand whores and yet you have a BMW and MB.

I offer reasons why BMW is great and YOU acknowledge them and then call me out say that I think BMW is god.

You are a self-hating hypocrit.

It is OK to love something.....it really is.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out when you go shopping for Nike, TAG, Rolex, LV.

We brand whores will continue to talk about our loves and passions because we don't know any better.

+1 Well said, T-bone.

Moving on...

So T-Bone, what do you think of Audis and quattro?

Pssahhh, Audis are the ultimate fashion accessories for the metrosexual who hates driving. Doesn't everyone share this view?

Love breeds ignorance. I think my car handles better than both a 350Z and 335i. When I drove both my car felt faster than the 335i (even though we all know it isn't).

I don't know what you are talking about quality... I don't think you should have to pay out the ass for quality, my 2002 Honda Civic NEVER rattled, broke, or had any other types of troubles the 5 years I had it. My BMW rattles already.

Your issues are related to the Z4 cars. Get a 3 series if you want the rattling to stop. You might be better off with a Miata. Good luck!

T Bone, as much as I support some of the pointers you brought up about BMWs, the fact of the matter is that they're not the end all be all champion of cars. Far from it. It's well known that our cars have a rattling issue. Your statement about Audi's is also incredibly ignorant, although tbh I wouldn't mind applying that notion to Lexus.

BMWs are great in their own way, but that's not to say that other cars don't have their own sets of pros as well. Btw, my Honda never rattled.

Funny that this thread came up... my brother just picked up a 08 350Z Enthu model for 25.5k which was several hundred dollars below invoice....

We bought the car in New Years day and I actually have been driving the car for the past week (My BMW has stayed in the garage since its been raining and i hate washing my car).

My 2 cents.

BMW 335i is a "sporty car". It has a sporty feel to it. the 350z is a SPORTS car. It definitely feels like a sports car. Its a two seater. I personally love that part (Im 22, i dont care for back seats..my brother who is 18 will not have much use for the backseat either).

Gearbox
The 350z has a stiffer clutch with a short shifter. I prefer the gearbox on the Z over the 335.

I was surprised that first gear goes up to 50MPH and second gear to 70MPH on the Z.

I like the setup on the reverse on the Z alot better than the 335. You have to Push down, and move it to right to be engaged in reverse.

Interior
350Z has crap interior material. But i dont expect a luxury interior for a car we paid 25.5k for. Still, the car has a fairly nice layout with timing clock, over-revving warning, etc.

Exterior
I guess i always liked the design of the 350Z. Its a hate or love it design. If the E92 never came out, I wouldnt have bought the bimmer. I really cant stand the design of the E90.

Performance
The 350Z with the revised VQ engine gets 13.5-13.7 on the quarter mile from what I have been seeing. Quarter mile, its a drivers race between the 335i and 350z in favor of the 335i. But in the tracks, I think the 350Z will kill it.

350Z also comes with LSD on all their models (except base) and brembo brakes in some of their models.

All in all, it all comes to how much you are willing to spend. If you can only spend 25-27k range, the Z is definitely a great car. 350Z is not a luxury car, thats where the G37 comes in. I personally would not want to drive longer than an hour in a 350Z where as in my Bimmer I can drive it from San Jose to Sacramento without wearing myself out. It's also rumored that the 370Z is comming out next year which will likely be 330hp and 200 pounds lighter.

It is fine that we don't agree on everything but ignorance implies I don't know any better. I have owned an Audi and there is a 2007 A4 sitting on my driveway (the BMWs get the garage).....

Audi's look like nice cars but they are basically garbage to drive. Don't confuse ignorance with informed opinion.

wow people lets bring up the maturity level a little bit here.

My opinion - no one car can be everything to everyone. I've owned Nissans, Chevrolets, BMWs, Alfas... I am a CAR enthusiast and can appreciate what well-made cars do well. Yes a 45k BMW is gonna feel more luxurious and have a better ride when compared to a 25-30k nissan that is made to be an "everyman's sports car". I do not see the need to post brand vs. brand over who is "better". Personally I would love to have both a 335i and a 350z in my garage...or either for that matter, depending on what I was doing with it.
