Get Rid of R1 for S1000RR??
I currently have 2 '09 R1s and have kept the one pretty stock and modded the one I usually ride pretty heavily and have begun to track it at the NJ Motor Sports park this summer. Ive gotten kind of tired of having two of the same bike and have been debating whether or not to just get rid of it or get another bike to toy with. After weighing my choices I'm down to the S1000RR or a MV Agusta. Thoughts??

Bimota Tesi 3D!
I'm a total n00b on a motorcycle (just got my endorsement and first bike about 2 months ago), so I don't have a lot of advice to give (obviously.) But the S1000RR has been winning a lot of comparo's, so I don't think you'd go wrong choosing one. Try one out and see. But then again, something very cool and sexy about an Italian bike, especially an F4....

^ defintely check out the Mille. The Italian twins have a different feel from the Japanese 4's. I went from an FZ1 to a Tuono and it was a huge improvement. The FZ1 wasn't bad but the Tuono just did everything better.

Nitrous?
You won't get anywhere near that number without a serious superbike engine. YEC parts everywhere. R1's are down on power from the factory relative to the other big 3 jap companies. The most powerful bike on that list is by FAR the BMW. The fit any finish is great and its got the most power stock over its competition by roughly 20 hp. And its got the most advanced electronics on it as well. Of all the bikes you could just get on and go race, this one is the most prepared. Obviously this is a huge personal choice though. Ducati, and Aprilia make very cool machines, though they tend to be more temperamental and require more maintenance. |

Also depends on the type of dyno. You wouldn't get near that number on our dyno. Modded hayabusas put out 165ish, and the s1000rr can match that.

All dynos are different, yep. Its just best to get a base line and then go back to the same dyno once you're done modding to see the new number. Hopefully under similar conditions.

Definitely this:
http://www.mvagustausa.com/web-mvagusta/10_F4.html I saw on HDT (HD Theater) an hour of the entire design, build and philosophy behind these bikes. Incredible!
