Stiffer m3 steering feel?

Hi, I find the m3 steering feels very soft and doesn't suit an m car. My previous e46 m3 and z4m has a nice hard steering feel driven a friends m6 and that feels nice and hard to turn the wheel aswell. Even my 335i feels nice and hard to turn the wheel. What's up with the e92 m3 feels like an s-class wheel weight wise.. Is there a way to make it feel harder (before anyone says, no the m button with sport steering wheel setting doesn't feel any different)

You can try rubbing it . But if you don't feel any difference with the 'servotronic' ON, there's something wrong with it. It's not a day and night difference, but you should be able to easily feel it. Other than that, get used to it man. As somebody said, at speed, feels perfect to me, even on the regular setting. And that's what matters to most.

i find it light but precise
very easy and light to drive around town, perfect for twisty roads etc.

yeah it is over-assisted at low speeds for sure. feels like a cadillac but once up to speed it stiffens up. i would like it a lot stiffer also at slow speeds.

I noticed the same the other day on a 328 loaner. Steering is much stiffer on 328 than the M while driving around town.

I owned a 2008 328i and the steering feel is stiffer than the M3. At speed the M3 has a nice weight to it.

I like the lighter steering at lower speeds, because it's easier to manuver . It tightens up at higher speeds, so it's much better than the steering on the regular 3 series cars which is always heavy. You can also change the steering setting to sport which feels significantly heavier.

If you get a under drive pulley that under drives the power steering pump it will feel stiffer overall.

Yes, putting the sport setting for steering DOES make it feel different. If yours doesn't, it is not working properly. In the normal setting, my wheel is easier to turn than a 328, but in sport mode it is very stiff and much harder to turn the wheel.

yea my 328 and 335 feel about 10 times stiffer during low speeds but that weight or stiffness remains constant...no change at 0mph or 90mph....the M3, however, feels 100 times stiffer the faster u go....when i take big highway turns with the other 2 3ers, the steering wheel feels wobbly, whereas with the M, the steering wheel just solid and planted

After trading my E46 M3 for the E92 I noticed the steering was much lighter on the E92. However, I also noticed that once I got above cruising speeds the steering tightened up nicely. It took a little while to adapt to this but now it feels normal.

I thought it felt quite light at first, but you get use to it.

You could just use M mode all the time and keep servotronic in sport mode. Use to do that at first.

The 335i steering is only heavier at parking lot speeds. Once you get up to speed the 335i steering is way lighter than the M3. I don't really care about how light the steering is when I'm parking the car. If anything it's a bit nicer.
