Is it OK to punish the car after 2,000 Kms?
Is it ok to punish the M3 between 2,000 and 5,000 Kms. or I should wait after the 5,000 Kms? I don't want to damage this amazing engine.

I would say work it up to higher revs gradually over that time. Let it see 6000 a few times starting at 2000km, then bring up to 6500 here or there, then later bring it up to 7000 and so on. By the time you get to 5000 kms you should have flashed it up to 8300 rpm a couple times.

I personally will do my best to keep to the recommendations during the break-in period, and then I'm going to flog the ever-loving bejesus out of it. It's an M3.

I hate the break-in period cause I get very impatient. I can't wait to punish my M3, that's the fun part. Every weekend I go to the highways to put as many Kms. as possible. I just want to arrive to the 5,000 Kms. mark!!!!
