TPMS for winter wheels

Hi,

Will be putting winter wheels soon and wondering where can I get TPMS? I have wheels and tires already.

You can really get them just about anywhere - from your dealer, any of the various forum sellers, etc. They arent hard to find at all, just remember that one type works on up to '09 and another '10 and after

On a similar note: the winter set I picked up used does have TPMS already; will the car automatically recognize them, or do I need to get the dealer's help with that?

Depends. I think BMW changed the sensors for MY10 so you need the sensors that are compatible with your car. If they are the right sensors, you can reset your TPMS through idrive so no need to go to the dealer.

I know I've got the correct ones for my year. I was hoping that I could take care of this through iDrive. Thanks.

I got a square set of blizak 18's from tire rack as well. To reset the TPMS all you need to is go to i drive and while taking a drive hit the reset button. I remeber when I first installed mine, I kept hitting the reset button and waiting forever with no out come. Then I read some where that you need to hit the reset while the vehicle is moving. That worked perfectly and never had any warnings popping up.
