Gap Filler For Front Lip
Just installed a front lip and not thrilled with the fitment. We live and learn and can’t undo it now. I want to fill the gap slightly across the front. Can anyone point me to a proper black caulking of some sort that would work. I’m worried about getting the wrong one and have it effect the paint or have it dry out, fade and crack. Any help would be appreciated.

Caulk and paint make a man what he ain't. Haha that what my father always said.
Do you have pictures? Is it possible its not positioned just right? Maybe there is a small area that needs to be taken down so the lip will sit closer? Personally, I would rather see a gap then caulk on a car

Why not just use some black rubber trim/edging? Isn't silicone going to basically make the lip non-removable?

Nah, silicon comes off pretty easily. I use the stuff (clear obviously) to seal where the glass meets my bathtub. I scrape that crap off and apply a new bead twice a year to keep it clean.

I grabbed a tube of this but havent installed my lip yet. I tested it on a couple random things and it seems to have the right properties, should seal the edge nicely and isnt super permanent.

For what it's worth I used some clear silicone that I purchased from Home Depot. I used the kitchen and bath stuff. Painters tape is used to create a nice edge. I wasn't a fan of black myself. To each their own though! Best of luck.

Ended up using what I linked above when I installed my lip the other day. Its pretty forgiving to work with and even if you totally screw it up its not permanent.
