Price check! 2010 M3.
Hey guys. Currently driving a 135i and looking to move on to an ///M. I've been searching daily, for months. I found a car, very close to me, at a BMW dealer but I have a feeling it is over-priced by about $4,000.
It's a 2010 White M3 with 60,000 miles. 6-Speed, Leather, Carbon Roof, 19" wheels, Tech package, Premium Package, Harmon Kardon. All maintenance looks up to date, no accidents. Car looks very clean except for the rear bumper. It needs to be re-painted (looks like it's had some rough time parking) Selling for $38,000. From looking around the web, I feel like this should fit into the $33,000-$35,000 range. Thoughts? Bonus: It's out of warranty, and the SA said she doesn't know what kind of warranty they would offer, the finance guy would go through that with me. Anyone know off the top of their head what is available and what cost I'm looking at? Thanks guys. Hopefully a future ///M owner. |

E90 or E92? $38k is just their asking price, $35-36k would be a fair price in my opinion. Not an amazing deal or anything, but given how long you've been searching it would probably be worth it.
If it sits around unsold for awhile they'll likely let it go for closer to $34k, but all it takes is one enthusiast like you who has been searching for a long time and does not mind paying an extra $2k. To that buyer it is worth more, and thats who the dealer is hoping to sell it to. |

2010 with 60k miles, the car is worth as you said 33k ~ 35k but close to 33k...it is not really good deal but in the same time not way over market value.
The value of the car is going down...I say keep looking until you find what you are looking for.. |

I'm in the same boat as your OP, I say we wait it out man. Since December, the cars have gone down by 2-3k and just this week I saw a lot more 2011 e92's going for around 35-40k instead of the previous 43-48k
I'm gonna hold out for a couple of more months, if by April I can't find a 2011 AW for around 35k? I'm just gonna get an FRS and save a butt load of money for mods |

Thanks for the replies guys, I figured as much. The one incentive I have is that they'd pull me forward 3 lease payments, which acts as if it drops the cars price around $1800.
That being said, I went in and checked it out. The rear bumper also needed a respray which they wouldn't do for me. They wanted $3900 for a power train warranty which they said they'd work on with me, maybe half that at best. Either way I passed and am hoping another comes around. Wasn't worth 40k+ all said and done. Good luck CharleyGFX! |
