Exclamation POLL: AW E90 M3 - Wrap roof Gloss black or not?

Hey guys,

So Im sure most of you have seen my car, if not here it is.

I had been planning to wrap the roof for months before I got the car. My dads car has the same roof wrap and I love it, but seeing the cars next to each other, im not sure now.

I have gone the painted grills and gills and kinda like the white roof with the black sunroof, but part of me wants the gloss black roof as well.

What do you think? Help me make my decision.

I think you should keep it unwrapped since your kidneys and sidegills both have a white accent to them, had they been black, I think a wrap would have gone well with them.

I voted wrap. But that was before I saw you have color matched grills. Should have done black grills if you were going to wrap it imo. Either way. ride is looking sweet

I wrapped mine in 3M C/F vinyl. Came out pretty good but I don't have sunroof.
If I had sunroof, I'll prob. wrap in gloss black vinyl to have minimal contrast (b/w wrap and sunroof)

I also have an AW E90 M3 and I am having my roof wrapped in Matte black vinyl on friday. I have matte black grills, gills, exhaust tips and emblem so i want to match my roof. I was thinking about also getting the Arkym front lip in matte black....

I say do it only if you drop it, gloss black on sedan needs that aggressive stance to pull it off properly.

Are you going to get a lip?

This poll is not helping... Lol it's like how I feel.

The car is dropped and has spacers, very agressive. I guess I'll just wrap it and if I don't love it I'll pull it off.

I think once I have the windows tinted the roof will flow nicely.

BTW, this is how matte-ish, semi gloss-ish 3M C/F vinyl looks like on AW M3 (sunroofless).

Wrap it! I like black roofs with the white car personally, adds a nice contrast. Just wrap it gloss black like you said, not CF fabric. I think the CF fabric looks good in the above posted link, but I'd kick myself continuously until I got a real CF roof. The gloss black alone will look terrific.

It'll go great with your wheels.

Wrap gloss black, and gills and grills in black. It would look best with your black wheels and the future tint IMO.

The good thing with wrapping is you can just have it taken off if you end up not liking it. But then you'll be down whatever you paid for it. I have mine wrapped gloss black and I like it a lot that I'm considering getting it painted eventually. However I don't have the white accents on the grills and gills like you have.

I think you should just do it. In worse case you can just peel it off, its only vinyl. I am doing mine in matte black on friday n its only costing me around $125 and im using a gift card i won in a car show...soo im not really loosing anything. I think it will look good on ur car, it looks nice..
