Thanks for the kudos. This is my first post to any group and I was encouraged by the owner of this 2009 M3 to post here...

This was seriously the most frustrating car of all time. It has a clearcoat so touchy that the only towels that can be used are CG s Ultra Plush Microfiber's. Nothing else. And don't even think of touching it with your fingertip.

This detail took a little over 18 hours (for the exterior only)

The color of the car is Jerez Black. It looks slightly purple in daylight, black at night. Sunlight plays tricks visually.

As for the Lake Country pads.
Orange - White - Gray - Blue
The Orange was used after I tried to remove the swirls with the Gray, then the White.
Since the pads are extremely useful for specific levels of defects, matching them with the proper polish or compound is a bit tricky between types of paints and clearcoats.

Once I had the swirls to a minimum, I used the gray Lake Country pad with Menzerna Intensive Polish and from here out used the Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Orbital , and then the blue pad with Menzerna Nano Polish. I polished it a couple of times with the Nano, just to be sure of a tight surface. After this step we both looked the car over for possible remaining surfaces lines and removed them individually. Once all that was accomplished I used a clean blue Lake Country pad to apply the Jetseal.
I used the Chemical Guys' wax applicator pad with the backing pad that velcros around your hand to apply their 5050 wax twice.

The Cyclo was used, but I can't remember if it was for the polish or the sealant..

Great work - it looks like it should've when it was delivered!

You should post threads on this forum with your work more often, especially if they come out as mirrors like this one did

Looks great! I concur on the touchy BMW clearcoat. Once swirl free, It's best just to avoid all contact if possible. I just haven't figured that part out yet.
