Input on dent on Unibody

As everyone knows....all modern cars are Unibody design. Basically sheet metal epoxy or welded together.
A dent to the quarter panel that require replacement of the quarter panel requires cutting out and welding a new piece in ....hence.. Unibody damage.

A dent to the metal under the rocker panel is consider unibody damage.
A dent to the A,B,C pillar is consider unibody damage.

Only part not unibody are the trunk, doors, and hood and front fenders.
Everything is welded together.

All though its unibody damage...it's not structural damage.

With that said.

It seems my car had encounter a minor "Love tap" to the rear interior metal sheet metal.. On the other side is the battery compartment
This is not visible until the rear bumper is remove.
Looks minor. Damage to bumper carrier. No break in paint .

Alignment is factory spec. No issue with handling..yada..

I thought about getting a hammer and block of wood.. Remove the battery..and just tap it back out...or leave it. Doesnt affect anything.

But like all M3 owner...I am OCD.
Yeah.. there is a dent that push that panel inward about 1/4 1/2 in"...and cause the rear to bulge out 1/2"

Once a bumper goes over it... No sign from the outside..
Makes you wonder..when you get your car repair from BMW Repair center or other approved repair center, do they actually pop out all dents from non crucial components?

Without removing the bumper, everything looks normal.

By the way, the dealer that I bought this from refunded several thousands dollar after I pointed that out to him.

My question:
Any harm in just leaving it as is?
Are the seams continous welded...spot welded?
Is there something that I am not seeing? That a body specialize might see. Please chime in..

Thanks
