you guys, i realize that the location has already been decided. but let me offer a few reasons why it might make sense to take Tom up on his offer to host at EAS.

1) EAS is well-known M3 enthusiast location. Many of us, myself included, go there to get our work done.

3) EAS is central, and a lot of us know & trust the guys there. As a trusted, well-reputed and central gathering point, a lot more people are likely to go. Relatedly, M3 owners who are already hanging out at EAS would be more likely to join up in the meet.

4) They have a dyno on hand; software coder on hand; a shop on hand with a lift and all the appropriate tools; parts on location; a good friendly atmosphere; and a photographer on hand.

5) They also have a good marketing engine where they could hype these kinds of gatherings up more prominently than we could. Having a regularly advertised event at a trusted location, being backed by a trusted enthusiast name presents a lot of value, and in my opinion something that has staying power.

Just my two cents.

EAS is cool, but I'd actually prefer a casual non-vendor related event, but that's just me.

I don't know Tech, Esquire makes a compelling argument. Maybe we should rethink the EAS idea?? Since we're shooting for a once a month meet, it would be great to have all of EAS' resources on hand incase anyone wants to get some work done during the meet.

I prefer a meet where it's not influenced/controlled by a sponsor. Cause you also realize that meets go well into the night and I seriously doubt EAS is going to want to have people at their facility too far past business hours. Of course this is all just my personal feeling, so if the majority wants to move it there, that's fine and I will bow out from pursuing it any further.

Holy hell! This is becoming way to hard. Tech, or anyone for that matter, this Friday at a closed Target parking lot (on South street between Lakewood and Downey) in Lakewood 90712 at around 9pm there is a car meet. We have 6 cars already going. It's real chill. Anyone and everyone is welcome! Done and done!

All good. If people have lost interest in doing this meet then we can just close the thread. We already voted on an area and a day so if people want my meet to happen, I will make sure it's not on the same week as yours.

The tech,

I don't think you should give up the idea. I think we need another so cal meet, and really hope that you pursue it regardless of whether or not EAS is part of the equation.

Thanks. I just wanna see the people who were initially voted to get on here and make it unanimous cause I feel like some sounded gung-ho but have now disappeared. I don't wanna waste time with a meet that people don't want to show up to.

Hi all,

First, I'm interested in meeting one Friday a month.

Second, I don't know where the attic or m&m is located. That said, I would be interested in occasionally attending something in the Anaheim area (91/55/57 area). I'm out in Riverside and hate the 91 fwy, but would consider driving out to OC ever now and then for a meet. (I would prefer something off the 71 or 241 is possible).

Thanks,
Chief

I will be making the meet thread tomorrow. Based on the poll, it will be once a month at Attic. Attic is on Beach and La Palma in Buena Park.

Unfortunately, if you are looking for a meet of the 241, then the OC Euro thing is the only one in place right now.

well regardless, my location is open to fellow m3post members since I do have decent parking in my parking lot and it doesn't effect my retail business side. Also, if the meets get bigger, I have access to food trucks and such that can make a weekly stop since I do many events @ my facility

oh, if you want to take a look at it, www.attic2zoo.com and you can check the blog to see when we have events and the car events we done in the past

Sounds good, thank you. Is the idea to hold the first meet tomorrow?
