Hey guys im new here and have been waiting for these prices to be posted for a few weeks like many others, my question is do you guys think that the 335is with nothing in it for 50k is worth it over spending an extra few thousand for an m3? I have been looking at bunch of used cars such as e92,rs4,isf ect and the 335 with the N54 engine has definitely caught my eye to now... just wanted to see what you guys think about the 335is price and if you think its worth it. Thanks guys and im glad to finally be apart of the board

WTF DCT is available on the 135i as an option, but not on the upper-scale 335i?

I'd rather get leatherette vs bmw's leather too - but hate paying for the ipod adaptor as a stand alone option (which I think you will likely be able to do)... Not sure what I will do yet...

Technically, the 135i is actually cheaper for 2011 because of the included Value Package ($2000 options in previous years)! I was going to settle for the leatherette (although I really wanted Lemon or Coral Red leather) as I had to choose between Nav and leather but now I get to have my cake and eat it too.

This is what I'm thinking now for summer ED 135i:

LeMans Blue
Lemon Leather
DCT
iPod Adapter
M-sport Package

Leather > Pleather

IMO, but I still think

Cloth > Leather

If I were buying an M3, I would totally go for the cloth option...

Question: Are the M3 sedan and coupe prices backwards? I thought sedans were always cheaper than coupe's.

Oh, and no "is" option for e90 stinks...

Seems like M3 Coupe and Sedan are backwards in pricing.

This is the best news ever... no major increase in 135i... DCT is 1.5K tempting...

No, these are definitely not "apples-to-apples" comparisons at all. The prices for the cars listed are just the base prices. There is no effort to compare models when comparably equipped.

I was under the impression that both "is" models came with a number of built in packages and options narrowing the differince to less than $3000 when both had the same options.
The "is" models get the MSport package standard. For the 335is (and maybe the Z4 35is too), there is also added cooling that is not available from the factory on the 335i at all.

What's this about the Harmon Kardon audio system replacing the "BMW Professional HiFi" system? Does that mean Logic 7 is no longer available? Or is the Logic 7 a step-up from the BMW Professional HiFi system?

No 5 Series Wagon

I suppose the missing 5 wagon means it is no longer going to be sold in the US?

Maybe the pricing for it will come out with the new 5 series body style?

If it has been axed I guess consumers can pick a more expensive, more gas-guzzling and smaller-cargo option like the GT or X6?? Raising a vehicle's ride height doesn't increase cargo room last time I checked...

The missing 5 wagon means that there is no 5 wagon right now. As always, the wagon takes a short hiatus when the model switches over to the new chassis and body style. You'll see it later this year. Will it be sold in the US? No idea. I don't think that decision has been made public yet.

The 5 wagon will be available until April and continues to be a 2010 MY.

Here's the official word on it:
Quote:
5 Series Sports Wagon
The BMW 5 Series Sports Wagon will continue through to the end of production in April as a 2010 model. The 535i xDrive Sports Wagon starts at $56,825 including $875 Destination & Handling.

Best regards,
south

I thought BMW NA had officially said we wouldn't be getting the 5 Touring, just the GT? I can't find the article now, so I could be wrong. Sounds like typical treatment for us though, and since the E61 was always awd in the US, I can't say I would have bought one anyway.

Based on the ordering guide, it seems this also holds true for the coupe, sedan, and convertible also. Other new colors might replace other existing colors across other models also - I didn't check. Perhaps you guys could update the initial post with color deletions also? Just a thought.

Maybe it's already been brought up, but did anyone also notice that auto headlight control is standard (with rain sensor)? I thought it was previously an option?

What the Fu*k? =.=

Who is going to buy that?!

Pricing on the 3-series is wayy over my head. My e46 M3 fully loaded (EVERYTHING) minus SMG in 03 stickered at $57,600 :O
