Stupid question on washing car in between waxing

So I wax my car about once every 3 months

However, I park outside at work and it always gets dirty and dusty, so I want to wash my car about every other week, but I don't want to wax it every time.

Is there a proper way of simply washing the car without stripping off the existing wax? Water still beads off my car, but when I simply spray it with a hose, I still can't get the grim off the car.

Do I just simply wash it with car wash soap and it'll retain the wax?

Wax used: Meguiar's NXT
Wash Soap: Meguiars Gold Class
Wash method: two bucket method

Meguiars Gold Class shampoo will not remove your Meguiars NXT wax .
If you want to protect the paint for about 6 months it's this =>http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-P...er-net-shield/

You might want to look into sealants or even a coating for longer protection and much easier cleaning

Many soaps are not designed to strip wax, Gold Class I don't think k is strong enough (high pH) enough to strip wax.

I'm on the other spectrum though. I have OptiCoat on my car so I like a stronger soap. Right now I'm using CG Citrus Wash Red (no gloss enhancers) and CarPro Reset for my soap.

Check out Collinite 845. It is a super durable wax used in Marine and transformer applications. That said if you are washing with soap you will eventually strip the wax off. If you are just using water, than a wax such as this should easily last 3 months. Sealants will go even longer, but have less gloss.

845 will last much longer than 3 months with just water. people get 6 month durability with regular washing

here is a trick

use filtered water......uses less soap and just cleans better less chance of wax or sealant stripping...plus no water spotting...
