Removing hairline scratch question for pros

I attacked my first polishing job today with my newly purchased porter cable 7424xp. I polished the hood and the carbon roof with chemical guys No.778 and a hexlogic white pad, but after the polish I still see hairline scratches, any suggestions? Should I go with a more abrasive pad and a new polish? No.778 from chemical guys did dust up a storm! My car is 3 months old, and there's no swirls or haze as far as I can tell, and the paint looks shiny besides the "dealer installed" hairline scratches.

help!
