Getting used to windshield in new M3?
I decided to register in this forum just to ask any of the new E-92 M3 owners if they had any trouble adjusting their vision to the Windshield. I needed almost 2 weeks to feel comfortable with the windshield. In the first days of use I felt there was something wrong, like when you become accustomed to a new lens prescription. Besides that issue everything else has been fantastic. No problems, no noises, gearbox improves with use, engine is wonderful. I can say I am enjoying this car more than the Porsche Carrera 997 I used to have. The new M3 is the perfect example of Jekyll and Hyde. Its impressive how the engineers manage to create something like that. In a moment its comfortable and then above 7000 RPMs all hell breaks loose. Hope all of the new owners are enjoying their experiences as well.

Yes. I wear glasses. I have asked 10 people to sit in the drivers seat and check for themselves. Out of the 10, 3 also felt uncomfortable. It could be the inclination or the protective material or maybe sun shield. I really don't know. But I am happy that I am getting used to. I don't want to change the windshield.

I think you are our first Mexico owner. Please post pics of your ride if you can and tell us what you think.

Yes. I went to the dealer. They checked it only visual and say they don't see any problems ("expected response"). But they are willing to change it if I decide to go forward. Since I am feeling more comfortable I prefer to wait and see.
Regarding my car, it is Space Grey with Red Fox and 19" wheels. I really like the combination. The Red Fox is much better than Coral Red in the 335 and it also shows the sportiveness of the car. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. The handling and engine are superb. It is a very special car. I hope soon I can post some pics. |

Yes sir. The cars coming to Mexico are pretty much fully loaded. M Drive is an excellent option but I admit it really goes to the limit. I am not a professional driver, therefore, I have to be careful, the car is extreme on the limit.

I will try to take some pics this weekend. I want to take good shots of the car and the surroundings, there are really nice places to drive here in Northern Mexico.

The red looks good there, not pinkish like in many photos. Please take some in daylight. This is a combo I am considering. Thanks.

Great car! Thanks for the pictures Pancho, can't wait for more, especially of the interior. I'm trying to decide between fox red with space or silverstone...from the pictures posted so far, I can't tell if red will look good with silverstone, or if it's too orange/brown/pink....looks different in every photo....
Enjoy your car and keep us posted! |

I have had no such experience, now at 650 miles. And I wear contacts cause of my short sightedness. Maybe your windscreen is distorted but you've adjusted. |

I take it the M3 is your daily driver since you had it at work. For me, while the fox red does look very awesome I think it would either fade from use or I might get sick of the extreme red from seeing it every day.
In either case its way too early to tell, and too early to care since it looks amazing. car! |
