However the only downside about the shifting is compare to the E46 SMG. theres a "shift lag" on the tranmission. I felt like theres like a .5 sec lag, before the screen show i chged the gear. I need to try this thing again later on.
Nicest review in a while, well balanced which made for an interesting read.

I was having (still having) hard time deciding DCT / 6MT but i can't tolerate any shifting lag, I definitely want my manual. Also your comment about it feeling like an automatic is a big turn off for me. I was going for a manual anyway but that helped lift some potential regrets.

very nice car.

.

Are you sure you want to use that tape ?? the link says " has twice the adhesion as regular JVCC V-36 Vinyl Tape." and " striping on vehicles". That sounds like some permanent tape. It's going to stick to the clear coat like crazy.
I don't understand this obsession about putting tape on a new car before the bra. To me the clear bra is already an eccentric thing to do. It's a car. One thing that concerns me about clear bras is how it how it is going to age (turning yellow ?) and that once it's there you can not remove it. If you could replace it then why not. Also I bet if affects drag.

One thing i discover with the new MDCT and the old E46 SMG, the new MDCT. lf you step on the thottle a bit, the car will start moving and acting like a "automatic" with mean it wont stop with the ground friction until u step on the brake (on a flat ground road). Same as reverse gear.

But overall its a great transmission ! i def like it over the SMG

Wow, that is some ghetto stuff. Why the hell would you put that crap all over your car and have the guts to take pictures of it? How many of the salespeople spit their lunch out when they saw that?

Your girlfriend/fiance/wife/SO won't though. Trust me, that's important. You gotta look at the big picture. Smoothness wins.

Dude. The OP is a true enthusiast. Don't go hating on him. I can appreciate the love he has for his new car. It's a dangerous world out there. Pebbles. Rocks. Spit. Bugs. You name it. I hate it when those things put scrapes, nicks and gouges in your brand new car. Yes, it's only a car. But I plan on keeping it for a long while when I get mine. You don't get much better satisfaction than babying it.

Im an enthusiast as well, but trust me, id MUCH rather have Pebbles (but not Bam Bam), Rocks, Bugs, even Spit on my car than to cover it with 4 rolls of Blue tape. i mean, hell, why buy such a pretty car only to cover it with that ugly ness?

I know he was only doing it until he got a clear bra, but the fact that he took 20 pictures of it etc, is pretty ghetto!!
