What will be standard??????

I placed my deposit back in June 2005 - so the pictures today are very very welcome and indeed made me join the forum, instead of just surfing it.

Over in the Uk, it looks like the price will be circa £50,500 - quite a rise over the e46

I wonder though what will be standard - surely leather will, but will Sat Nav - which is really pretty essential for resale on a car like this - but if it's not standard, then straight away we're looking at another £2,000.

So if it's £50,500 basic, then £1500 for 19" alloys and £2k for sat nav - then I'll really have to think twice about proceeding - Still I have to say the specs and the car are looking fabulous.

I really wanted the 7 speed DSG, but I guess that will be another £3k.

Great forum guys,

Regards Mark

I have dug further around the forum and it seems that people have been asked to spec their cars from next week. I;ve heard nowt yet, but the german price list seems to convert to about £45,000 for the basic spec - now that would be better. Are cars really speccable from next week??? And just because you spec a car this early, presumeably it doesn't mean that it is built earlier does it??

It may be built earlier, but they will not be allowed to release it to the customer till the launch date.

Leather

According to the English version of the press release, the standard interior trim will be a combination of cloth and leather called "Sport," with full leather seating surfaces being the first optional trim level, and then an Extended leather package as the premium interior trim level. All in all, they sound like at least $1000 USD for each step up in trim levels.
