Saw Jerez Black E90 M3 and AW E92 M3 @ Monterey BMW

Drove by Monterey BMW in Seaside, CA today and what do I see. They have a Jerez Black M3 Sedan and AW M3 coupe. Sedan is for sale with no markup, and coupe is the demo car. Sedan is fully loaded (has every single option on it), coupe was 70K as well, just dont remember which options it didn't have.

So if anyone one of you is looking for fully loaded M3 Sedan in Jerez Black with no markup, it's available at Monterey BMW, CA. I'm just an enthusiast passing the info on.

Too bad the exhaust looks like hell. The aftermarket will fix that though.

I saw an M coupe and sedan on a transporter today. I was looking at them thinking "there is an awful lot I'm not crazy about looks wise on the M for that kind of money".

Not feeling the sedan at all and what's the deal with the poor gas mileage especially when it's like $3.71/gallon for gas....................however, the AW coupe is nice..................

I guess that's what got me thinking when I was looking at them.

I was standing there thinking "I don't like the way you can see the muffler and the exhaust outlets should be farther towards the corners. The M-badge looks too small on the deck lid. Bottom of the front bumper looks unfinished. Power dome looks like a total after thought or something from the APC catalog...Well, I could live with or fix most of that"

Then I started thinking for that kind of money I shouldn't have to "live" with that much stuff I really don't like. Which sucks cause I really want to love the M3. Of course it is part of my job to take what most people would consider nice, well built, thought out things and pick them apart to the nth degree so, maybe I just expect too much.

I do really like the interior and just about everything else not mentioned above though.

I did catch a glimpse of an IS-F yesterday too. Not enough to decide what's wrong with it but, just enough to go "is that an...IS-F. It is!" and point. I don't know why I did that since I was the only one in the car but, that was my reaction.

i actually like how the exhausts are closer towards the center (e46 m3s are the same way). I never liked how far apart all these 335 and 328 quad jobs are...reminds me of a DeVille DTS. I like the smaller m3 emblem as well. The bumper could be better (which is true for just about any car), but its by no means a turn-off. The power dome is pretty awkward looking, but hell, gotta do what you gotta do to fit a 420hp NA v8. you wouldnt hear me complain.

Well, it looks like they built the car for you and not me then.

I never liked the E46's exhaust either.
The emblem was nit picking. I'd probably take it off all together.
The hood... I'm not totally convinced they need the power bulge to begin with. An in-line six is longer than a V-8 and it fits with out it. I like the idea of it but, I just think it could blend much better than it does. Something along the lines of the new 350Z would have been better IMO.

You know what they say about opinions though.

I like it better like this. I would make it so the bottom of the bumper was all even though. I just didn't feel like messing with it anymore though.

Damn, it blows to have to pay a $1300 gas guzzler tax.

I love the E92 M in white though.
