I asked them about the process and Dustin (Mat's son) mentioned that they do not use vinyl for the M3s... But I will call them tomorrow to confirm...

Please also ask how much would it be to re-tint just the rear window and tint the rest of them

Ok for this, so sorry about the misunderstanding...

I just spoke to Mat again and he says he will use a performance black vinyl over the dot matrix. The reason is because he doesnt want to sand down the dot matrix and leave tiny scratches on the glass.

Also another method is apply a layer of gel over the dot matrix and then tint it, that would also be a problem over time under the hot sun. Therefore he doesnt stop doing the dot matrix without the vinyl.

$315 for F1 Pinnacle Ceramic tint is a really good deal

I dont mind having a small strip of black vinyl on the rear windshield since Im doing 35%. it's pretty dark and barely noticeable. Dont any scratches to the glass from the sanding down of the dot matrix or bubble from the gel either...

Omega uses NO vinyl at all ... he told me that over time vinyl will peel off because of the heat ?
